AUGUSTA – The Maine Commission for Community Service will sponsor four seminars to help organizations design an AmeriCorps project and become eligible for an AmeriCorps grant.

These grants are awarded through a competitive process every three years.

The competition for 2004-2007 grants will start this winter.

The cost to attend the seminar is $10 per person, payable to MCCS-State Planning Office and sent to 38 State House Station, Augusta 04333-0038.

Seminars run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the following locations:

. Thursday, Nov. 7, Presque Isle Career Center, 66 Spruce St.

. Friday, Nov. 8, Augusta Career Center, Anthony Avenue, room ES1.

. Thursday, Nov. 14, Lewiston Career Center, 5 Mollison Way, Lewiston.

. Friday, Nov. 15, York County Technical College, Room B106, 112 College Drive, Wells.
