Hampden’s Tessa McCue finished second in the short program at the junior level of a figure skating competition in Pawtucket, R.I. last weekend. It was her first competition in a year and a half after recovering from knee surgery. McCue trains during the week in Marlboro, Mass., where she is also home-schooled.
