BANGOR – At the John Bapst Players mystery dinner theater, “Marriage Can Be Murder!” someone in the wedding party faces an untimely and unexpected demise. The rest of the characters and the audience will have to figure out who did the dastardly deed in the tale of comedy and suspense directed by Melissa Avery.
The auditorium at Bapst will be transformed into a reception hall on Nov. 8-9 and 15-16 to celebrate the marriage of Lisa and Michael, portrayed by Erika Rogers and Jesse Lynch. The audience will be “guests” at the reception, dining on a four-course meal of turkey or ham and wedding cake.
In addition to Rogers and Lynch, lead cast members include Cody Holyoke, Emily Picard, Eli Levenson-Falk, Kristen Steller and Ben Barrett.
Wait staff are John Malloy, Haylee Deans, Tiffany Spencer, Meghan Lena, Marc Giard, Katie Wetherbee, Tracy Haskell and Elaine Colwell.
Marriage Can Be Murder! will be performed at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8-9 and 15-16 in the auditorium at 100 Broadway. Tickets must be purchased in advance, at the John Bapst Fine Arts Office, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on days that school is in session.
Vegetarian meals may be ordered when tickets are purchased. Tickets include the play and four-course meal. They are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and students.
