Fawn Albert, a senior goalkeeper for the University of Maine-Farmington field hockey team, has been named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Year.

Joining Albert on the first team are two teammates: senior Lori Welch and junior Dorice Reitchel. Nicole Palmer, a sophomore from Husson College in Bangor, was also named to the first team.

Other players gaining NAC field hockey, women’s soccer and men’s soccer honors are listed below.

Field hockey, second team: Husson: Crystal Strout, Nola Boynton, Amanda Brown; UMF: Sarah Daily

Women’s soccer, first team and rookie of the year: Maine Maritime: Amy Asselin; honorable mention: Madawaska: Meghan Marshall

Men’s soccer, first team: Maine Maritime: Derek Wilding; second team: Maine Maritime: Jack Gilmore, Wels Baker
