PITTSFIELD – A community forum, the second in a series of gatherings planned to build a sense of community in Pittsfield while dealing with current issues, will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Warsaw Middle School cafeteria.

“This is to be a friendly potluck buffet for a grass-roots-style discussion on town issues,” said Town Manager Kathryn Ruth. “We are interested in hearing thoughts and ideas regarding youth, recreation and social issues that are important to our community.”

The first in the series was an annual Community Celebration where volunteers and local board members were recognized. It was attended by more than 100 people.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are requested to bring light refreshments, such as finger foods or desserts. Drinks and paper goods will be provided.

The forum is being sponsored by Voices in Action and Healthy Living, two programs of Sebasticook Valley Hospital, as well as the town of Pittsfield. For more information, contact Ruth at 487-3136 or Carrie Mountfort, VIA coordinator, 486-3890.
