AUGUSTA – Maine National Guard Engagement Skills Training Instructor, Staff Sergeant Bruce W. Roscoe earned the Chief’s Fifty award at the National Winston P. Wilson rifle and pistol matches at Camp Robinson, North Little Rock, Arkansas on October 4-12. Roscoe is the first person from Maine to receive the honor. He placed 18th overall in the nation with the M-16 rifle to finish in the top 10 percent and received The Chief’s 50 patch. Over 350,000 Army and Air National Guardsmen qualify for this event each year.
Roscoe resides in Waterville where he is a full time schools manager technician and lives with his wife and five children.
