The Husson College golf team has received a ranking of 18th by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, the highest ranking ever for any team from the Northeast Region, according to the school.

Coach Bruce MacGregor’s Braves of Bangor completed their season with a head-to-head record of 112-9 and won eight of 12 tourneys with two second places.

The team went on to win the Maine Intercollegiate Championship with a tourney record score of 287, their fourth straight conference championship, and second straight New England Intercollegiate Championship.

Leading the Braves were Corey Pion of Vassalboro, Corey Poulin of Jackman, Joe Finemore of Sidney, Shane Ross of Pittsfield, Ross McGee of Fairfield, and Mark Holden of Bridgton.
