FORT KENT – Registered nurse Suzanne Marquis has been promoted to the newly created position of assistant director of nursing at Northern Maine Medical Center.

Marquis is a 1991 graduate of Ecole de Formation Infirmiere, formerly located in Edmundston, New Brunswick. She also has attended the University of Maine at Fort Kent, majoring in nursing.

She has the distinction of having worked up through the ranks at NMMC. Marquis began her career at the hospital in 1990, working as a psychiatric technician, while attending nursing school.

In her new role, Marquis will oversee the infection control program, nursing department supervisors and schedules, recruiting, patient education and policy development. She will begin her new responsibilities as soon as her replacement is named.
