Thompson tops at martial arts competition

Justin Thompson of Troy took first place in the U.S. form competition on the Krane martial arts circuit stop in Seekonk, Mass., Sunday.

Thompson, 20, also placed third in the U.S. weapons competition.

Despite being unable to attend an earlier circuit stop in Guatemala, Thompson is second in point the world competition for forms, fighting, and weapons and defeated the leader in points in Seekonk in all three disciplines.
