ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Freshman forward Alessandra Tavolone scored two goals to help carry 20-0-2 Union College to a 4-0 win over the University of Maine-Farmington in the first round of the NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship Thursday.
Camila Mendes and Veronica George added a goal apiece, while Carla Bissotto had two assists. Margaret George and Paula Fantini chipped in with assists, while Rebecca Woodworth needed to make no saves.
Alyson Pontbriand made eight saves on 20 shots for the 14-4-2 Beavers.
