STANDISH -The Husson College Braves started their season on a positive note as co-captains Randy Fletcher and Ryan Rivera scored 17 and 13 points, respectively, for a 67-50 men’s basketball win over Colby College in the Maine Event Tournament Friday night.
Andrius Zeikus chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds for the Braves of Bangor.
Patrick McGowan scored 15 to lead the White Mules of Waterville while Jared Cushman had 12.

Jess Cyr paced USM with 12 points, Jess Libby added 11 and Kristen Tong netted 10. Sunshine Anders added eight points and eight rebounds.
Holly Gracie led Husson with 14 points and three assists and Megan Hughes grabbed nine rebounds.
Stephanie Cleary scored a game-high 21 points to lead Ithaca by UMF.
