BANGOR – The Jewish Community Council of Bangor, which comprises Beth Abraham Synagogue, Congregation Beth El and Congregation Beth Israel, is sponsoring its first artist-in-residence program.

David Nachmanoff, a California-based singer and songwriter, will participate in events Dec. 1-9.

His schedule will be:

. 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, adult songwriting and music workshop, Beth Abraham Synagogue, 145 York St.

. 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, Hanukkah party, Congregation Beth El, 183 French St.

. 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, songwriting and entertaining for the Friendship Club, an organization for older members of the Jewish community, Beth Israel Synagogue, 144 York St.

. 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, guest speaker at Congregation Beth El’s Bar Harbor discussion group, hosted by David Einhorn and Marilyn Baum. Call 945-4578 for details.

. 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, performing, Epstein Room, Beth Israel.

At all community events, kosher refreshments will be served.

The programs also are sponsored by the Jewish Community Endowment Associates, and are open to the public.
