ROCKLAND – The seventh annual Parade of Lights will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in the downtown area.
Participants will begin assembling at 5:30 p.m. The route will begin at the intersection of New County Road and Route 1 and proceed along parts of Main and Union streets, before stopping for judging in front of the Puffin’s Nest at 464 Main St. Votes will be made by community members by placing nonperishable food items or new toys on their favorite float. Donations will benefit the Salvation Army. Refreshments will be served.
There is a $10 entry fee, and the deadline to enter a float is Saturday, Dec. 7. To enter a business, family or group in the parade, call Julie Raye at the House of Cards at 594-8900.
