University of New England junior forward Missy Stults was selected as one of the three Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. Stults scored 29 points, 21 of those points coming in the first half, in their 77-57 loss to Bowdoin.

Jimmy Howard

University of Maine freshman goaltender Jimmy Howard was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Month and the Hockey ITECH Goaltender of the Month. Howard had a 5-0-0 record, 1.28 average goals per game, and .956 save percentage in the month of November. He set a school record for successive scoreless minutes of 193.45. He also tied the record for shutouts in a season.

Wendy Bonner

Colby College sophomore forward Wendy Bonner was awarded as one of three Players of the Week for the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Bonner had 24 points and 11 rebounds in Colby’s 74-33 win over Gordon College on Tuesday.

Angelo Salvaggio

Bates senior guard Angelo Salvaggio was named as a NESCAC Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week. Salvaggio had a triple-double with 36 points in their 110-77 win over Southern Maine.

Tiffany Jones

Southern Maine freshman guard Tiffany Jones was named the Rookie of the Week by the Little East Conference and the Maine Women’s Basketball coaches Association. Jones had 20 points, five rebounds, and three steals win the Huskies’ 69-66 win over Bates College.

Andrew St. Clair

Colby-Sawyer College freshman Andrew St. Clair won the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for basketball. St. Clair averaged 20 points per game and 12 rebounds per game in the Chargers’ 1-1 record in the Hight Tip-Off Tournament.

Abby Schrader

University of Maine freshman Abby Schrader was named the America East Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week. Schrader had 16 points and six rebounds in Maine’s 66-56 loss to Montana in the championship game. She was one of two Black Bears named to the DRCC All-Tournament Team.
