AUGUSTA – After holding steady for five weeks, the average price for a gallon of home heating oil in Maine increased 1 cent this week to $1.21, according to the State Planning Office.
This week’s price is 10 cents more than a year ago.
Prices ranged from a low of $1.08 in some southwestern parts of the state to a high of $1.28 a gallon in central and eastern areas.
Kerosene was unchanged at $1.44 a gallon, and the price of propane was the same at $1.51 a gallon.
