Porter performs in Hermon win

ELLWORTH – Adam Porter poured in 26 points to lead the Hermon Hawks to a 63-55 schoolboy basketball victory over the Ellsworth Eagles Saturday night.

Jesse Keith netted 11 points for Hermon and Joey Schacht had 10.

Joey Dewitt scored 17 points for the Eagles. Andy Tracy had 13 points and seven rebounds as Nick Sawyer had 13 points and Matt Wood scored 10.

Darrin Constant chipped in with 12 for Shead of Eastport, which outscored the Mariners 24-13 in the third quarter. Maloney added eight rebounds.

Will Prescott and Jamison Cocklin scored a goal apiece while Jeremiah Richter tallied two assists. Josh Caldwell had an assist while Spencer Dunbar stopped 16 of 16 shots for the 1-0 Witches.

Ryan Mateyko faced 28 shots and made 24 saves for 0-1 Brunswick.
