Free demonstrations, door prizes, refreshments and special discounts will help mark the opening this week through Thursday, Dec. 12. Owned by Royce L. Cokinis of Rockport, the business sells computers, printers, software and peripherals for Apple computers and PCs. The company also services a variety of makes and models of computers and printers and provides one-on-one training for first-time computer users or in specialized software such as Quark, Adobe Photoshop or Quick Books. Office staff can also network systems for residential use or for small and large businesses. The Bangor store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Penobscot County Federal Credit Union, based in Old Town, has opened a branch office at 1 Merchants Plaza in Bangor. A grand opening celebration will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Penobscot FCU has more than $20 million in assets and a membership of more than 5,600. In business for 34 years, the credit union’s main office is at 260 North Main Street in Old Town.
