Eagles hit FTs, garner victory over Trojans

ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Eagles made 16 of their 21 free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter to record a 64-55 schoolboy basketball victory over the Mount Desert Island Trojans Tuesday night.

Andy Tracy paced Ellsworth with 17 points. Matt Wood had 13 points and eight rebounds. Joey Dewitt scored 15 points and Seth Mayo added 10.

MDI’s Jake King tossed in 25 points to lead all scorers. Kyle Jones added 14 and Ryan Colbeth put in 10.
