MARS HILL – Andrew York nailed his only field goal of the game, a 3-pointer with 11 seconds remaining in regulation, to send the game to overtime Friday night and Central Aroostook outscored Katahdin 16-10 in overtime en route to a 79-73 schoolboy basketball victory.
Brian Grew had seven of his 31 points in the extra session, including 22 in the second half, for Central Aroostook. Patrick Walsh provided 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jason Woodworth added 13 points.
Jordan Davis led Katahdin of Sherman Station with 17 points. Tom Rodgerson netted 14, Brian Sullivan 13, Sam Cyr 12 and Jordan Cullen scored 11.
