BANGOR – The Child Abuse and Neglect Councils of Penobscot and Piscataquis counties will offer a series of workshops called “Our Children’s Future” for those who work with children. The monthly workshops will be held 4-7 p.m. beginning Thursday, Jan. 9, at Penquis CAP, 262 Harlow St., with “Identifying Child Neglect and Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse.” The presenter will be Dave Samuelian, professor and coordinator of the Mental Health and Human Services Programs at University College of Bangor.

The workshops also will be available at the same time by videoconference at the Penquis CAP office, 50 North St. in Dover-Foxcroft. A light supper will be provided at both locations. The cost of the workshop is $40. Registration is required.
