PRESQUE ISLE – Junior 6-foot guard Andy Frost had a solid debut for Brewer as he helped lead the Witches to a 55-49 Class A schoolboy basketball victory over the Presque Isle Wildcats in the mutual opener Saturday.
Frost, who moved to Brewer over the summer when his father was named the Brewer High School principal, scored 17 points to pace the Witches. Senior swingman Jon Bell chipped in with 11 points for the winners while senior center Chad Gomm provided inside punch with eight points.
Fred Bird scored 19 points for Presque Isle and Kyle Rideout had 15 rebounds.
