RYAN MCLELLAN

A senior guard on the Nokomis of Newport boys basketball team, McLellan went over the 1,000 career point scoring mark during a 64-59 win over Hampden Academy. McLellan had 35 points, seven rebounds and six steals in the game.

Small School (Classes C-D)

TRAVIS PATTERSON

Dexter boys basketball player Travis Patterson scored 76 points in three wins for the Tigers. The 6-foot-1 senior had 20 points in a 66-48 win over Searsport, 24 in a 61-39 win over Central of Corinth and 32 in a 63-52 win over Schenck of East Millinocket.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

SHELLEY GOTT

Gott, a senior guard for the MDI basketball team, scored a game-high 21 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Class B Trojans past Class A Nokomis. Gott also scored 15 points in a win over Hermon earlier in the week.

Small School (Classes C-D)

LINNY BARBEE

The Narraguagus of Harrington senior guard racked up 55 points in three games, including a week-high 24 against George Stevens. She also had eight steals.
