Roger A. Moody recently has joined Camden National Bank as vice president, community development and government banking. Moody will serve as the bank’s liaison with community, nonprofit and educational organizations. He also will concentrate on providing resources for government sectors at the municipal and county level to encourage local growth and prosperity. Before joining Camden National Bank, Moody served for more than 11 years as Camden’s town manager. Previously, he worked as director of business services for the Bangor School Department and as city manager for Ellsworth. A Vietnam veteran, he also has a bachelor’s degree in history and government from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in public affairs from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y.

Erica Campbell has been promoted to campaign manager in the Bangor office of Gary Friedmann & Associates, a nonprofit consulting firm with offices in Bar Harbor and Bangor. Sarah Emerson also has joined the firm recently as a campaign assistant. Campbell earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine magna cum laude and graduated with a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, Nashville, Tenn. An expert in grant writing, research, and project development, Campbell directs all aspects of annual and capital fund-raising campaigns for clients in the Portland, Augusta and Bangor areas. She joined Gary Friedmann & Associates as a campaign associate in 2001. Emerson, a peace studies major, graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y. Her experience working with nonprofit groups ranges from environmental organizations to international human rights agencies. Emerson is responsible for writing press releases, designing marketing materials, community appeals and grant proposals.

The County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the hiring of Clinton C. Hartmann as the new president and chief executive officer. Daniel J. Bagley also has been hired as the new branch manager in Presque Isle. Hartmann, who works out of the main office in Caribou, has 15 years of credit union experience in Florida. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. He also holds the designation of certified credit union executive. Bagley has an associate degree in accounting and is a recent graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking. His experience includes six years of loan collections with another financial institution and 10 years of management experience.

University Credit Union has announced the promotions of two of its senior management team. Matthew J. Walsh, CPA, recently was promoted to senior vice president-finance and technology. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and Husson College, Bangor, with degrees in business management and accounting. Walsh has been with UCU since 1997. Joseph R. Gervais recently was promoted to senior vice president-southern division. Gervais has been employed by UCU’s Portland office since March 2000 and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College. He also serves as a liaison between the University of Southern Maine Alumni Association and USM Corporate Partners. In addition to his position at UCU, Gervais is the president and CEO of Primary Mortgage Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of University Credit Union.
