PORTLAND – A daylong program called Basics of Importing: What Successful Importers Need to Know will be held 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Maine International Trade Center, 511 Congress St. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The morning session will focus on locating and evaluating potential products and producers, as well as learning trade basics. The cost of the program is $50 for MITC members and $90 for nonmembers. There is no cost for legislators to participate. The registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 13. Refunds will not be given after the registration deadline.
