University of Maine freshman goalie Jimmy Howard, who was lifted after allowing four goals vs. Russia, did not play. Black Bear Greg Moore, didn’t register a point.
Bob Goepfert of Providence made 30 saves for Team USA and Yale’s Chris Higgins scored two shorthanded goals. The U.S. plays 0-2 Belarus today at 1 p.m.
