ORONO – The University of Maine’s Jordan Planetarium is offering two star shows in January. At 7 p.m. Fridays, the farthest reaches of the universe will be explored during “Our Place in Space: Journey to the Edge of the Universe.”

Young visitors will meet a special character and discover the wonders of the day and night sky at 2 p.m. Sundays. “Zubenelgenubi’s Magical Sky: Day and Nighttime, Too” is designed for younger sky watchers ages 5 to 8.
