Graves’ goal lifts ‘Cats by Raiders

PRESQUE ISLE – Trevor Graves scored off a Ben Sirois assist at 2:38 into overtime to lift the Presque Isle Wildcats to a 3-2 high school hockey win over the Winslow Black Raiders Monday.

Joe Flenner scored Presque Isle’s first two goals with both assists coming from Joe Collins. Sean Daigle made 39 saves on 41 shots for 7-2 Presque Isle.

Nate Pelletier scored the game-tying goal for Winslow off of a Jason Carter assist at 2:01 into the third period to send it into overtime. Matt Bickford scored their first goal with an assist from Derrick Dempsey. Devon Grenier and Tim Cloutier combined to make 10 saves on 13 shots for 6-4 Winslow.

Boys basketball

Greater Houlton 64, Highview 54

At Eastern Maine Technical College in Bangor Thursday night, the Greater Houlton Christian Academy Eagles shot 7-for-8 from the line in overtime to pull away for the big win.

Drew Farrar and Emery Lincoln each scored 17 to pace the Eagles. Matt Hathaway added 15 points and Scott Duff put in 13.

Devan Philbrick scored 21 points and Nate Richards added 14 for Highview Christian of Charleston.
