FORT FAIRFIELD – The Central Aroostook Panthers of Mars Hill hit three consecutive 3-pointers to pull ahead at the end of the third quarter and hold the lead for good in a 66-57 schoolboy basketball victory over the host Tigers.

Bryan Grew netted 26 points for Central Aroostook at Mars Hill. Pat Walsh scored 14 and Jason Woodworth had 13 points.

Sam Esancy scored 19 points for Fort Fairfield and Brandon Levasseur added 18.

Richard Byers contributed 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Eight of his points came in the third quarter.

Corey Shields’ 25 points led Southern Aroostook. Zac Philibert and Corey Edkins combined for 16 more.
