BAR HARBOR – Friends of Acadia announced Tuesday that its grants to Acadia National Park and community organization on Mount Desert Island since 1995 total $3 million.
The figure includes more than $1.4 million granted to maintain the park’s motor-free carriage roads, $173,000 to the Island Explorer bus system, gifts to trail maintenance and other park and community projects.
