I would like to respond to [letter writer] Alan Parks’ rant on Sen. Trent Lott on Jan. 10. He should be careful trying to paint Republicans in a racist light, especially when people on the other side of the aisle, such as Democratic Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, used the “N” word in a nationally televised interview.
But then again, for the mainstream media there are two sets of standards: those used for their liberal Democratic buddies and those used for the “evil, mean-spirited Republicans.” Parks should be careful of the stones he throws in the future.
