DIGBY, Nova Scotia – The bodies of two of three missing fishermen were recovered Friday morning in surf near the spot where their overturned lobster boat was found a day earlier.
The bodies were spotted near Morden, on Nova Scotia’s southwestern shore, and the search was continuing for the third man, said Lt. Cmdr. Denise LaViolette, spokeswoman for the search-and-rescue operation.
“One person was found by a ground search and the other was spotted by a Hercules aircraft,” LaViolette said.
The missing men’s lobster boat was found capsized and empty late Thursday night.
