The Bush administration is saying we should invade Iraq to get rid of its weapons of mass destruction. The administration appears convinced it has evidence to prove it. If so, it is morally and ethically obligated to give such evidence to the United Nations inspectors.
If the inspectors cannot find such weapons, the United States has no reason to invade Iraq. If we invade anyway, and we don’t uncover major significant evidence, then we had no excuse for invasion in the first place other than that we think Iraq’s leader is a nasty fellow.
The reason Japan attacked Pearl Harbor was to prevent us from interfering with their military expansion for oil.
