Bangor

Registered representative

Heather Weymouth, branch manager of Bangor Savings Bank in Dover-Foxcroft, has recently earned the Series 7 license from the National Association of Securities Dealers, qualifying her as a registered NASD representative.

The designation allows Weymouth to transact general securities trades, including stocks, bonds, options, indices, no-load and load mutual funds, real estate investment trusts, and public and private limited partnerships. Also a licensed insurance producer for Bangor Insurance Services Inc., a subsidiary of Bangor Savings Bank, she sells life insurance and variable annuities.

Weymouth holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in business administration from Husson College.

Insurance Fellow

Michael Ludwig, assistant vice president and financial consultant for Bangor Insurance Services Inc., recently received the prestigious designation of Chartered Life Underwriter and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow.

Ludwig entered insurance in 1982 after receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine. He is a member and past president of the National Association of Financial Advisors- Eastern Maine, and recipient of the Arthur and Helen Charles Award for Association Service and the Eagle Award from the Life Underwriter Training Council.

In April 1999, Ludwig joined Bangor Savings Bank to develop and expand the newly formed insurance program. A consultant in the financial services division, he has more than 20 years’ experience assisting customers with insurance and financial services.

Cash manager certification

Troy Dean, assistant vice president and corporate services officer for Bangor Savings Bank in Bangor, has earned the certified cash manager designation, one of the highest standards in the field of cash-treasury management.

Dean holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Maine.

Brewer

New fitness center

Curves for Women, a fitness and weight loss center for women, held a ribbon cutting ceremony Jan. 13 with the assistance of the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce.

Sales representative

Richard W. May has been appointed a regional sales representative for New England Financial, Maine-New Hampshire Agency.

An 18-year veteran in the life insurance, property and casualty and investment industry, May is the Maine state president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors

He resides in Old Town with his wife, Carol, and has two grown sons, Lt. Michael J. May and David K. May.

Orono

Law partnership

Miller, an Orono native, is a graduate of the University of Maine and the University of Maine Law School. Previously, he worked as land development coordinator for the city of Bangor.
