SKOWHEGAN – Seven people were indicted Friday by the Somerset County grand jury, charged with 22 offenses. They include:
Jeffery Berry, 42, West Forks, two counts of being a habitual offender and one of forgery, November 2001 and November 2002 in Fairfield and Moscow.
Ansel Johnson, 26, Plymouth, burglary and theft, September 2002 in Palmyra.
Laurie Nelson, 39, Fairfield, burglary and theft, insurance deception and false report, June and July 2002 at Anson.
Paul Poindexter, aka Sean Knight, 38, Madison, burglary and theft, June 2002 at Anson.
Michael Cunningham, 18, Augusta, five counts of burglary, two counts of theft and trespass, October 2002 at The Forks.
Roland Desroberts, 55, Palmyra, unlawful sexual contact, between June 2000 and September 2002 at Palmyra.
Melissa Smith, 23, Skowhegan, theft by deception and unsworn falsification, between January 2000 and December 2000 in Somerset County.
All the defendants will appear for arraignment in Somerset County Superior Court on Feb. 7.
