Admission costs $6 for adults, $4 for children 12 and younger and includes all of the chilis and chowders, as well as ice cream and beverage. Proceeds from the event, which is part of the 13th annual toboggan nationals, will benefit the Camden Snow Bowl. For information, call 236-8468.

Sweet smarts

Conversation hearts are a sugary way to say “LUV U” or “BE MINE,” but Necco’s new Sweethearts have a few messages that are too cool for school. This Valentine’s Day, parents can slip their children a box of hearts with the phrases “BOOK CLUB,” “LET’S READ,” or “WHIZ KID.” Learning never tasted so good.
