At Millar Arena in Houlton, Derek Smith poked the puck free on the forecheck, drove to the net and scored with 4:25 remaining as Orono avenged a 5-4 overtime loss nine days ago.

Dylan Huckestein had a goal and an assist for the 5-9 Riots; Anthony Hegstrom made 46 saves and Tom Smyth scored the other goal.

Drew Somers and Aaron Doody scored for 3-9 Stearns and Nick Simon made 32 stops.

Bangor 7, Lawrence 2

At Bangor, Nick Payson scored three goals and had two assists to help lead the 5-4 Rams to victory.

Mike McPike scored two goals and added an assist while Ben Payson and Kevin Cobb each recorded two assists. T.J. Vanidestine had an unassisted goal while Jason Eremita scored with assists from Tim Woodcock and Andrew Marin. Tommy Daly made 16 saves on 18 shots for Bangor.

Mark Dow and Nate Lovtiz each had a goal and an assist for Lawrence while Will Richard had two assists. Allie Woods faced 29 shots and made 22 saves for the 4-9 Bulldogs.
