Old Town trips Houlton-Hodgdon

HOULTON – Chris St. Louis notched the game-winner at 4:56 of the third period to give the Old Town High School Indians a 2-1 upset win over Houlton-Hodgdon in a schoolboy hockey game at Millar Arena.

Eric LeClair took a shot from the point that was deflected home by St. Louis, who assisted on a first period goal by Andy Pease. J.P. Stowe had a 35-save, 36-shot effort for 3-12 Old Town.

Ben Henderson scored an unassisted goal for the 12-4 Black Hawks. Nick Fitzpatrick had 22 saves against 24 shots.

Brewer 12, Lawrence 1

At Sukee Arena in Winslow, Jeremiah Richter tallied four goals and two assists as the Witches rolled.

Robbie Hayes racked up three goals and three assists for 13-1 Brewer. Ben Caldwell notched two goals and two assists, while brother Josh countered with a goal and three assists. Wally Tardiff and Andrew Quirk had a goal apiece.

Josh Kochis dished out a pair of assists, and Kevin Kotredes and Jake Richter handed out one each.

Spencer Dunbar stopped all 11 shots he faced, while Christine Thoms made five saves on six shots.

Nate Lovitz scored off a pass from Will Richard for the 4-10 Bulldogs of Fairfield. Allie Woods had 20 saves against 32 shots.

Hampden 7, Foxcroft 2

At T.J. Ryan Arena in Brewer, Greg Taylor and Adam Standley each had two goals plus an assist as the Broncos rolled.

Kevin Brooks, Ian Lee and Matt Soucy provided a goal each for 11-2 Hampden. Garett Macgowan rejected 16 out of 18 shots.

Josh Sands notched a goal plus an assist and Seth Gabbaro tallied a goal to lead the 2-10 Ponies. John Catell racked up 49 saves.

Van Buren 55, Wisdom 28

At Van Buren, Danielle Gagnon collected 24 points to lead the Crusaders past the Pioneers.

Casie Caron chipped in with nine points and five assists for Van Buren.

Christa Lizotte notched eight points to lead Wisdom of St. Agatha.

K.C. Duffy-Stanley led the Cougars of Sherman Station with 11 points. Brandi Violette chipped in with nine.

Angi Littlefield led the way for Seacoast Christian with a game-high 18.

At Hodgdon, Brandon Levassuer chalked up 19 points as the Tigers used clutch free-throw shooting to edge the Hawks.

Sam Esancy contributed 12 points for the winners. Aaron Kennison added 11, and Kris Osgood 10, respectively.

Ken Prescott sparked Hodgdon with 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Derek Nickerson racked up 16 points and 14 rebounds, both good enough for double-doubles. The Hawks played without leading scorer Jimmy Griffin.
