LEE – Ashlee Gifford scored off a missed free throw with two seconds left in overtime Friday night, lifting Lee Academy to a 65-63 schoolgirl basketball victory over Bangor Christian.
Shelby Pickering scored 27 points with 13 rebounds for the Pandas. Gifford netted 15 points and Kristin Hersom contributed 10 points and 12 rebounds.

At Woodland, Chad Pike nailed a 15-foot jumper as time expired off a pass from Weston Kochendoerfer to give the Dragons the win over rival Calais.
Pike had hit two free throws with 19 seconds to play to put Woodland up by one. The Blue Devils’ Russ McLean then answered by hitting a jumper with five seconds remaining.
Kochendoerfer took the inbounds pass at the top of the key and found Pike in the far corner. Pike finished with 18 points and Kochendoerfer had 14 points to go with nine rebounds. Jesse Nicholson tallied seven points, seven assists and four steals.
Josh Berube led the way for Calais with 21 points.
