GUILFORD – The Schenck Wolverines outscored the Piscataquis Community Pirates 8-5 in the second overtime and Tyler Thompson made two free throws en route to a 57-54 schoolboy basketball victory Saturday.
Mark Harrington scored 18 points for Schenck. Mike Rossignol and Brian Graham each added 12.
Joe Jardine netted 17 points for Piscataquis and Tyler Tracy and Josh Luellen both scored 10 points.

At T.J. Ryan Arena in Brewer, Bronco goalie Garrett Macgowan made 21 saves on 22 shots to keep the Tigers from rallying after Hampden scored two early goals in the win.
Adam Standley knocked in both goals for the 12-2 Broncos in the first period. Ian Lee and Standley’s brother Chris combined for assists on Adam Standley’s eventual game-winner.
Shawn Kelly scored a third-period goal for 10-6 Gardiner. Spencer Lahaie made 29 saves on 31 shots.

At Sawyer Arena in Bangor, Drew Somers scored an unassisted goal with 4:13 left in overtime to lift the Minutemen past the Ponies.
Somers and George Surette each finished with two goals for Stearns of Millinocket. Josh Harmon added two assists and Nick Simon made 43 saves on 46 shots.
Foxcroft’s Seth Gabarro scored with 2:08 left in regulation to sent the game into overtime. Mitch Sawyer and Derek Smith also scored for the Ponies. Joe Caparrelli and Josh Sands each had an assist and Dan Perkins stopped 39 of 43 shots.

At Dover-Foxcroft, the host Ponies were down 12 points with four minutes left and cut their deficit to three with four minutes left, but the Vikings held them scoreless in their last seven possessions to negate the rally.
Leah Drew led Caribou with 17 points, Monica Selander had 12 points, and Lindsay Burlock had nine points and 13 rebounds.
Sandy Haskell led the Ponies with 11 points and Ashley Hall added 10.
