Katahdin knocks off Patriots

BANGOR – The Katahdin Cougars picked up some valuable Heal points with a 60-58 schoolboy basketball victory over the Bangor Christian Patriots at Husson College’s Newman Gym Monday night.

The Patriots tried to tie it but missed a shot at the buzzer.

Tom Rodgerson scored 19 points for Katahdin and Owen McCarthy added 15.

Greg Patterson netted a game-high 20 points for the Patriots. Josh Madden scored 14 points and Ben Sobey had 10.

Jenny Grice and Chantal Veilleux tossed in 14 points each for Calvary Chapel Christian of Orrington. Shaela Colby added 12.
