Clippers knock off Terriers

MACHIAS – Machias’ Sara Ricker scored 18 points and dished out five assists; Gill Guest contributed 16 points and 21 rebounds and Angela Robb broke the 1,000-point mark as the University of Maine-Machias triumphed 69-61 over Thomas College Wednesday in women’s basketball action..

Woodland senior guard Robb finished with 12 points to build her career total to 1,004. Emma Apatu had nine points for the winners.

Erin Lovely poured in a game-high 29 points for Thomas of Waterville; Malorie Leclerc contributed nine and Courtney Corbett had a team-high eight rebounds.

At Machias, Sharief Sims tossed in 17 points to help lead the University of Maine at Machias past Thomas.

Albert Whittaker contributed with 15 points and nine assists while William Miller and Chujor Chujor each added 12. Joe Footer helped out with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Adam Rich led the Thomas offense with 17 points while Will Nicherson scored 12 and Adam Beal and Jimmy Carcci each had 10.
