Bucksport athletic director Tish Frazier is looking to get back into teaching, and in order to do that she’ll be leaving her post at the end of the school year.
Frazier, who has been the school’s athletic director for six years, submitted a letter of resignation to the Bucksport School Board that was read at a meeting Wednesday night.
“It was interesting and it was something different,” she said. “I’ve enjoyed working with the students and the coaches.”
Frazier will teach keyboarding, computers and English at the high school next fall.
Having more free time was a big factor in Frazier’s decision to leave the AD job.
“It’ll be nice to have my weekends and vacations back,” she said.
The opening will likely be advertised soon, Frazier added.
