A typographical error changed part of Thursday’s letter, titled “Tax cuts canceled out,” written by Laurie Nicholson of Stonington. The sentence in question should have stated, “Why, when we are told we should spend our way out of a recession at the federal level, are cuts prescribed when the need is greatest at the state level?”
