THOMASTON – Police said Thursday a Thomaston man has been charged after the woman in whose house he had been living learned that some 50 checks in her name totaling $27,000 were forged.

Police Chief Kevin Haj said Adam Henderson, 22, was charged with felony forgery.

Priscilla Bishop of Thomaston was contacted Monday by Peoples Heritage Bank in Rockland about questionable activity in her checking account, Haj said. She discovered some 50 checks had been forged.
