BANGOR – The Bangor Lumberjacks, the latest member of the Northeast League, completed the first trade in franchise history Thursday.

The Lumberjacks traded pitcher D.J. Johnson to the Kansas City T-Bones of the Northern League for outfielder David Jefferson. Bangor also claimed lefthanded pitcher Donny Thomas off waivers from the Elmira Pioneers.

The Lumberjacks home opener will be May 30 at 7 p.m. vs. the New Jersey Jackals at Mahaney Diamond in Orono.
