ELLSWORTH – The Grand Auditorium and New Land Florist of Ellsworth have partnered to offer singing valentines as a unique fund-raiser.

“Created in part to promote the romance of Valentine’s Day, this is really a wonderful way to build bridges between the commercial and nonprofit organizations within the community,” said Anthony Pizzuto, the Grand’s marketing director.

Patrons will receive personal, live performances from cast members of popular Grand productions “Evita,” “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” “A Chorus Line” and “Big River.” Volunteers will donate their time on Valentine’s Day to sing a love song to that special someone while delivering a bouquet of flowers arranged by the New Land Florist staff.

All proceeds will benefit the Grand Auditorium, a nonprofit performing arts center. To order a valentine, call 667-7333.
