NEWPORT – The Nokomis Warriors held the Bangor Rams to only three points through the first 24 minutes en route to a 52-11 schoolgirl basketball victory Friday night.

Danielle Clark paced Nokomis with 17 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Lindsey Welch tossed in 15 points.

Megan McCrum led Bangor with three points. Ilyse Angst grabbed seven rebounds.

At Houlton, Andy Pease scored four goals to lead the Indians past the Minutemen.

David Marley netted two goals for Old Town and Chris St. Louis had a goal with four assists. Jake Roeder scored a goal and Mike Millett had two assists. J.P. Stowe made 33 saves on 39 shots for 5-14 Old Town.

Devon Pelkey and Drew Somers each had two goals for Stearns of Millinocket. Will Parker and Tyler Pelkey both had a goal while Nate Franck and Shawn McVey added two assists. Nick Simon had 30 saves on 38 shots for 6-11 Stearns.
