Get down to business

When will our elected officials go to work for the people of Maine? I am appalled by the amount of time spent on this anti-war resolution. This is not something the state government should debate. We elected people to go to Washington to do that for us.

We have a billion-dollar deficit, the good people of Millinocket and surrounding towns are in dire straits, other layoffs around the state are looming and our tax system needs to be overhauled.

Please get to the business of the state of Maine. If you want to run the federal government, run for Congress. In the meantime, let the elected officials who want to get to the business at hand go to work.

Many Maine citizens have family members in the military doing a great job for us. They deserve our support.
