What would you recommend for a speed limit for snowmobiles?

“It all depends on where they’re at. If they’re in a wooded area, 35; if they’re in an open field, 55.”

Ted Manette, Bangor

“Thirty-five in wooded areas and between 55 and 60 in open fields as long as they’re wearing a helmet.”

Megan Harrigan, Brewer

“Sixty.”

Jeff Sands, Bangor

“I don’t think the speed matters as long as the driver is careful and knows what they’re doing.”

Adam Milton, Bangor

“Probably 45 on the trails.”

Rachael Wood, Bangor

“I’d say 30.”

Stacie Hichborn, Old Town

“Maybe 20 miles per hour.”

Alex Fenney, Bangor

“I don’t know if there should be a speed limit. I don’t regard them as a vehicle; they’re more like entertainment.”

Keith Nickerson, Orono
