AUGUSTA – Katie Sibley poured in a Western Maine Class C girls tournament-record 45 points to lead No. 2 Boothbay to a 76-48 victory over No. 3 Winthrop in semifinal action Thursday at the Augusta Civic Center.

Sibley nailed 19 shots from the field, including two 3-pointers, and added five free throws.

Kaitlyn Garrett and Heidi Davis chipped in with 10 points apiece for the winners.

Rebecca Moore tallied 24 points to lead the Ramblers, and Lindsey LeClerc added 12.

At Augusta Civic Center, Ian McCarthy led all scorers with 17 points and led his Ramblers past the Seahawks in the west region semifinals.

Joel Weisberger scored 10 for Boothbay.

Mike Norton led the Seahawks with 14 and Jesse Erskine finished with 10.

At the Augusta Civic Center, Kristin Baker hit a free throw with two seconds left in Thursday’s semifinal game to give the Valley Cavaliers of Bingham a 42-41 Western Maine Class D girls upset win over the Rangeley Lakers.

Baker finished with 19 points for the No. 4 Cavaliers.

Katie Drosdik hit four 3-pointers on her way to 13 points for the top-seeded Lakers.
